They bleed red too.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_history_of_African_Americans

Good and bad people come in every color.

It is weird to me to single them out. In my mind. It’s actually racism to give them attention because of their color.

My litmus test is to replace black with white and see if the sentence still seems correct.

“White history month”
“White entertainment network”
“United White college fund”
“White lives matter”

There is no Wikipedia page for White war heroes.

At least it is the shortest month of the year!
And they complain about it too.

As far as black war heroes, Vernon Baker died on July 13th 2010. He was the only black Medal of Honor recipient from WW2 that was alive to receive his Medal of Honor in person when it was upgraded from the Distinguished Service Cross. July 13th was my son's birthday so I sent a donation to his widow in my son's honor

Roddney King was right! "we must started getting along" live in harmony, find common ground, celebrate our diversity. we got a whole month to sing "oh to comb by auh" (I say, we should be able to laugh at ourselves) "SO" Happy Black History Month I say...

eveled has stated much of what I feel.

I'm not racist,, but the separate celebration of things, based upon their race,, is VERY racist. I call it reverse discrimination.
AND,, it also discriminates all other races.
There is no reverse to it. Racism is racism, no matter what race one is. If one studies slavery, for instance, one discovers that nearly all races were enslaved at one time or another, in the world’s history.

I remember a documentary on Viet Nam
Same mud Same blood

I am anything BUT racist. I do have a problem with not being able to call someone a "colored person" when so many are a part of the NAACP. Truly we are ALL colored in some way. How much more 'advancement' is needed? We have had a 'colored person' President. The official purpose was:
"To ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination."
Some of the "ministers" need to reread this.

if only he had practiced this beforehand, hmmm.....

I enjoy back history along with the history of the Europeans after coming here. I was raised in a coal camp with Greeks & Italians. Many of their accomplishments are amazing. The man across the track from us came here from Greece as a teen & worked in the same mine my Dad did. He spoke broken English & made great wine
