Well . . . it's been a long time since I was able to spend time playing with
flashlights. Since I am out of town a few miles, and the neighbors are not
really close (compared to where I was in CO, they are a LONG way away)
I'm finding out just how much light some of the ones I have, put out.
Had some coyotes starting a singing group out across the street (175 feet
to my mailbox) so I turned off the house lights, waited almost a minute
for them to go back into full output, and shined the Nitecore P30 set at
400L. Amazing how quickly it got quiet.
That got me started playing with a few others and I ended up with the
Emisar D1S, rated at 1300L and focused at just over 700M. WOW! Forgot
just how much light that is! 8) Long story short, I ordered another one
(comes from China - - for $35 delivered). Same old "problem" of three to
four week delivery. Sigh. Now to look up where I got the batteries from
(HIGH drain 18650s).
Still a whole lot of fun here in the desert.
