I see them for $299-350 in local shops depending on condition. Dont see them as high as $400 though. Is it a special run or something exclusive?

My favorite pawnshop around here willusually come down 20-30% if I just ask. Heck, I would offer $300.00 and see what happens.

Four inches, stainless, in good condition, I'd for sure go for $400. Although I'm not a collector, yet. A box might help me go higher, or even a holster that I liked, maybe they'll throw in a box of factory ammunition.

I bought my wife the same gun with rough factory grips for $350 and a nice blued one for myself for $375. $29 sounds high to me. Try $350 and see what they say.

Try looking on some of the auction sites; get some comps, then take that with you (in your back pocket) and as others have suggested, "let the trading begin".
You know if they told you $429 was the price, you should be able to get it for less...how much less depends on your GAS (gun acquisition syndrome). If you are REALLY smitten with this gun, get it and ENJOY your new gun.

I have the same Security Six myself and it is my favorite handgun. I only paid $125.00 for mine about 9 years ago, but neither the seller nor I knew what a great revolver it was. The others have given you great advice about dickering on the price. Best of luck on getting a great handgun.

I just sold two of them on gunbroker a couple months back and neither one broke $310.

Hi,
In California a good shooting Security Six will bring $350 to $375. A unfired one between $400 to $475. I would offer $325 and see. You can always go up but not down.
