These are the 250 gr RNFP Lasercast bullets. These are supposedly hard bullets (BH around 24). Anybody have some good load data for this matchup? Thanks.

Hodgdon has a web site on-line. And I've been told here that I could use jacketed data for cast bullets but not cast data for jacketed bullets. Also the beartooth bullet co. also on-line has a load swap section.

Alliant 2400,Unique,Bluedot are hard to beat in the 44M and 45 Colt. Modern magnum loads only.

I'm sure you meant well, but did you even read my post? Just seems like you threw out a random thought that was marginally related.

I would try 23.0 gr of H-110 with that bullet. It may lead, but the cause will most likely be undersized throats, rather than pushing the bullet too fast.....

I did mean well :? Are you shooting target or hunting...What kind of gun are you using. These are the powders that work good for me with that weight bullet. Off on the right foot with wrong shoe :)

SBH4628: Sorry for giving you a hard time. I'm really just looking at H110 for this question.

I do shoot a lot of Unique though. The set up is a SBH Hunter. I may hunt with the load, but most likely it'll be a paper punch as I mostly hunt with a bow.

H110 and W296 are kissing cousins. Please do not use the same load data!!! If you want a target load go with Unique. Ruger Hunter I would use 2400 w/GC Bullet. Please look in the free powder manual load data. Happy Hunting,Let me know how you do!!!

The OT Manual recommends 19.2g H110 and a WLP as a maximum load with a 255 SWC for 932 fps and calls that Ruger Only. They also note- DO NOT REDUCE.
All of their 250 RNFP load data is standard velocity/Cowboy Loads and they do not list H110.

The Lasercast Load manual is a good one and I would recommend it for anyone that shoots their bullets. I think it should be available from their website

I like 25.7gr of h110 or 296 very comfortable and very accurate you can find this load on the hodgdon site it is the starting load on their site

My info agrees with your BH=24 .. thats Hard!
They want to be pushed fast with a slow burning powder
like H-110. My favorite load with them is abt 11.5g of HS-6
for abt 960 fps out of my 5.5" Acusport Ruger Bisley but
even with that powder if I back them down under 900 fps
they start leading. If your wanting something over 1000 fps
then I'd say H-110 is a good choice.

twobisquit now you have to e-mail [email protected] ask for data and supply a mailing address. I just sent off for mine. Thanks for bringing it up because until you mentioned it I didn't know it was available. And I had just bought another 1500 bullets a week or so ago.

I think that since Laser Cast bullets are so hard that it makes sense to use their manual.Their loads and powder seem to work for me without the lead.
