Got 100 cases of 45 Auto Rim to try in my S&W Model 25-2. Thinking I'll use a 250-270 grain Colt bullet. Looking for 45 Colt ballistics, 900-950 fps (out of a 6" barrel).

I've got some data to try but just wondered if anyone had any pet loads they've found to work especially well. Powders I've got that should work in this range are HP-38, Power Pistol, HS-6, AA5, AA9.

I would suggest that you check the Hodgdon Powder website for 45 AR loads. That's where I got my load information for my S&W 25-2. http://www.hodgdon.com :)

I checked also and it appears that Hodgdon dropped that load. I got my loads from there a while back. However all is not lost. Speer #14 manual has the following loads list for a 250 gr LSWC bullet. Loads are starting/maximum load for each powder listed:
HERCO 6.2-6.6
Blue DOT 8.6-9.0
Unique 5.8-6.2
HS-6 7.4-7.8
SR4756 6.3-6.7
I checked my loading records and I've been loading 6.0 gr for a hard cast 250 gr bullet for 800-810 fps out of my 25.2, which is the also the max. load for a 45ACP round with a 230gr FMJ bullet.
Hope this helps you out and again I'm sorry for the confusion.
