.357 Redhawk production

Curious what the general consensus is as to the production numbers of the 357 Redhawks.
 
Around 5,000.

If you find one, and really adore the handloaded 357 Magnum cartridge, buy it regardless of cost.

I had both barrel lengths but kept my 7.5" for its balance. I use it for USPSA competition. Too....
 
Not a double action person really, especially the huge Redhawks. Curious as a co-worker recently bought one from his brother, the original owner. It has about a box of ammo through it. It's a 7 1/2" stainless one. His brother wanted $250 but after telling him what they're selling for, he went back and told his brother. He still had to force him to take $350 for it. It's as close to NIB as one could be.
 
I had one (5.5") years ago and felt lucky to have paid $500.00 for it. I sold it for $600.00 after shooting the heck out of it. I don't really miss it, but it was a very nice gun and the term overbuilt is putting it mildly.
