.308 velocity loss in Ruger American Predator Rifle?

I was doing some research (looking around) on this very question and I found this material.

I will let you read it and decide for yourself but it seems that the 308 round does well in shorter barrels and the 18 inch mark is very good.

The graph in the link posted by Bill is close to what I'm experiencing in my carbine.
The published velocity of a 150gr Remington PSP Core-Lokt is 2820fps. I can't find the test barrel length but you would expect it to be 22" or longer.
My 18 1/2" semi-auto carbine spits them out at an average of 2630fps.
I'm still playing with the reloads but found an interesting combination with 48gr of BL-C(2) pushing a 150gr Remington Core-Lokt SP at 2625fps.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

I remember reading somewhere that on ave. a rifle will loose around 30 to 35 fps for every inch of bbl. length. And a handgun about 25fps per inch.
Now this isn't writen in stone but it's a good reference.
