A new .30 Carbine I just picked-up. Alterations include a trigger job and spalted maple grips by Carl Schultz.

Coated 115 grain RN from Missouri Bullet. Starting charge was 12.5 of IMR 4227:

Tried it on a 10" rock at 50 yards and offhand I could hit consistently; which suggests good accuracy. I'll push it to 100 paces soon.

Those grips make the blue finish "pop" on that revolver, or maybe it's the other way around. Nice combo!

I've owned close to a dozen Ruger 30 Carbine's & everyone was a tack driver. As good as you shoot Lee I'm guessing you can hit those rocks a loooooong ways away. Mostly I shoot the Lyman 134 gr #311410 plain base but in these Blackhawks a dandy load has always been 12 grs of 2400 & the 100 Plinker 1/2 jackets. Nasty on ground squirrels & rock chucks!

NICE! I see it's a NM,,, so you may be doing as sixshot has done & begin using 32-20 brass. Still they are fun calibers!

I like it, I have the Old Model myself and its a shooter. I would like to use rimmed cases but I would need somebody to modify the cylinder...I may have to make some new grips, should have some nice Maple...

Some good looking guns here. :) I got this NM in the late 70's. She wears Hippo Ivory that I acquired somewhere years ago. Shooots just fine with my own load. :)
