It's for sale near me. 4 5/8" barrel, looks pretty good but not collector grade. Made in 1970
Anyone want to put a value on this? Just don't want to pay too much.

If it helps I sold mine in Oct for $500 . It sold in less than 24 hrs. Mine was also a "shooter". I'm quite sure I could have gotten more . I was happy to pass it on to someone else though, no need to be greedy.
If you are in that range and want it, you may want to grab it, as more time passes you will see less on the market. Most fellas tend to hang on to those pretty tight.

Well, I own a 3 screw now. Only shot it six times, but it's already my favorite. By the serial # it was made in 1970 and it was my understanding that anything made in 1970 was supposed to have black eagles in the grip medalions, but these are silver. Gun was in the same family since new and the man that bought it new has passed, but the seller said he thought it had not had the grips changed. Is this possible? And what is going on with the grip screw?(see photo) Never saw one like that. Is this right?
Gun has some specking at a couple on places on the cylinder where it was touching the leather holster it was kept in but other than that, it is real nice. Not a collector by any means, but I still like it.

Nice 41. It may have shipped a bit later than others in the same serial number range and that could explain the grip medallions being different. The transition to that type happened right around that time IIRC. I don't think the grip screw is "right" but it is cool.
