I traded a Sig P238 and $325 for this a couple weeks ago. The XR3-Red left much to be desired! A WTB add here and after dodging a couple of scammers, I got this SBH Hunter grip frame on the way. It needs a little fitting but not too bad. I’m really surprised at the fit of the Hogue Black Micarta grips as shipped. I plan on taking my time and attempting to do it myself. Already have a Simply Rugged holster ordered. 😎

One of the many great things about Ruger single action revolvers is the interchangeability of the grip frames. You can change the grip from a birds head to a plow handle to a dragoon to a hunter or a Bisley style.
If you find a Super Blackhawk, Blackhawk, or Single Six in the finish, barrel length, or caliber you want but the grip is not to your liking you can fix that issue easily. I have an extra plow handle, hunter, and Bisley grips (plus proper hammer and trigger) just in case the itch hits for me to modify one of my single actions.

The Hunter is my favorite of the factory gripframe styles. The Bisley just doesn't work for me, shooting or looks. The xr3-red is a touch too short. The regular xr-3 is kid sized in my mittens. The dragoon raps my knuckle pretty hard.
