Well, I was right, they don't want to give out the torque value (I would suspect the legal folks meddling). And they did say that if anything happened to the barrel it would have to be returned to them to be fixed (again probably for liability reasons).
That said, and after looking at the blue 22/45 Lite, I really like that color combination and the anodizing really looks nice. However, if the person really likes the gun and would like it even more if it were purple, I do think it could be Cerakoted.
You could also look around on the different auction sites, eBay and other places to see if anyone was selling just the barrel/receiver, no matter what color and have it Cerakoted and just swap the blue one out. Believe it or not, there are people that will want to do things with the frame/internals with something else they have and they will sell the barrel/receiver (it is the serialized part so it does have to go through a FFL to be transferred, unless the buyer and seller live in a state that allows these kinds of private sales).
