Still have to fit the polished stainless NM ERH & the SS ROA grip frame a little better, but this baby is almost ready to send lots of little .22 bullets downrange from now on. :D

Oh, and be handled and dry fired and admired all the time too. 8)

I spent almost that much just finding that OM SBH trigger! :shock:

Well folks it's now officially christened!

Just like breaking that proverbial bottle of champagne across the bow of a ship.

Mr. Amateur here was trying to drive the rear sight cross-pin out, (while also watching a movie) and sent that punch right across the right side of the rear sight protective "ear"

Pretty much imperceptible to the naked eye, but I know it is there. 8)

So proud, and that will be enough of that...fer cryin' out loud! :evil:

Touch up with cold blue and it won't stand out, you'll forget all about it once you start using the gun. Most pins drive out left to right, although some don't matter. But I still follow that rule.

Actually a pro could see that the SS parts are not fitted perfect yet, but who cares, you get the idea, and you couldn't ask for a better complement than that eh?

Hondo44, if I would have tried to drive the pin out from left to right, I would have had a scratch on the left side rear sight protective "ear". :oops:

I'm in no way a pro lol but your welcome I have a NM same gun and really like that look I'm think pretty seriously about polishing the grip frame and ejector housing and a shines belt mountain base pin to TRY to get a similar look.

Mag-na-port did that beautiful bluing and I'm attempting to polish up the stainless as best I can. :oops:

The ramped front sight is about .050 taller than the original target sight was, so I may as well start filing that thing down some before I even bother trying to sight it in.

Nice that those things are screwed in, and can be easily replaced if I mess up. 8)

Correct, it's one of those that doesn't matter.

You must have ended up with a front sight from the 32 Mag single six since they are taller. The serrations on the Ruger sight are 50 lines per inch, Brownell's #2 checkering file order # 080-310-431.

Hondo44, thanks for the information, but I already had what I think is a 40lpi file on hand so I used it, figuring that as long as it broke up glare, it would have to do.

The gun and sight are doing pretty good at what I estimate to be around 15yds.

Could use a click or two to the right for windage adjustment with that 10 rounds of Federal Auto Match, and I'm only one click up from bottoming out, (almost filed off too much) but I'm very happy with my project overall.

Time to shoot it a whole bunch more :D .

Not too shaby! Since it's zeroed at 15 yards you're rear sight won't have to go down any further and you've got lotsa up adjustment left! I'd say you got it perfect.

Very nice. Hondo has helped me with a similar project that won't look nearly as cool but will be my style and match some others.
