I took my 10/22 apart for the first time ever to clean, and was wondering if any lubrication is required on the fire control group parts, and if so, where exactly and what type of lube?

I lubed the inside of the receiver, bolt, and front of hammer with a very small amount of Remoil, I have read that it's suggested to use dry lube but I don't have any so i figured something thin like Remoil would be the next best thing.

Thanks.

All I use is a very small amount where the bolt touches the receiver and the few points of rotation in the trigger assembly. Not sure what lube on the front of the hammer would benefit. Toothpicks work good for placing that 1/4 drop where you want it.

Here is some good information. I think that it really can be applied to all firearms though.
