10/22 MKII Extractor spring interchangeability?

I see the extractors are the same, but not the springs. Is it because the 10/22 spring is merely longer, or is the diameter different?

I want a +Power extractor spring for my MKII's, and figured I'd try a +P 10/22 spring and cut to length if that is all that's needed.

I have a MKII with a very weak extractor spring.

Yeah, the 10/22 +Power spring fits fine and adds MUCH more strength to the extractor bite. Will shoot it and see how it does, but shop tests had a loaded round flying acorss the room with little effort pulling the bolt back.

Might be on to something here.
