I have a 10/22 that will eject spent rounds but won't eject live rounds regardless of brand of ammo. The chamber, extractor groove, and the extractor have been cleaned well but the problem still exists. Any advice appreciated. Thank you!

Yes. Magazine in or out. It refuses to eject a live round. I can load a magazine and fire and eject all rounds successfully.

when you pull the bolt back to eject a live round what does it do??

Does the round stay in the chamber? does it come out and cause a jam?
Is the rifle stock or does it have aftermarket parts, barrel ect.

Give us some more info.

Lots of 10-22's will 'drop' the loaded round if cycled by hand. There's really nothing holding the cartridge against the bolt face except the extractor on one side and as soon as the round mostly clears the chamber, the rim slips out of the extractor's hook. Drop the magazine and cycle the bolt briskly to empty the chamber. That may 'fix' your issue?

A 'stretch' but just maybe there is a little crud where the bullet is situated. The extractor was designed to actually extract empty casings. The additional weight and a little 'crud' could be the reason

Keep in mind that fired 22 cases in a semi-auto are literally 'blown' out of the chamber with the extractor only providing a bit of guidance before hitting the ejector. A slightly 'sticky' extractor, one with accumulated crud, or one with a worn or blunted hook is further disadvantaged.
