Early 77 extractor

Got my dads 77 when he passed.He owned it about 40+ years and he never shot more than 2 boxes in that time.He missed a turkey right after he bought it because he never sighted it in.He also said about a slight jam after the shot.Now I have it and after firing the empty sometimes doesn't get thrown.Upon looking looks like I need another extractor.The plunger is working.I got an extractor years ago for the early 77 but I think it is for a long action and this is a 308.Any idea where to find one for a short action?

I check and no extractor.

I have never heard of anyone hunting turkey with a 308.......

Some states do or did allow the use of a rifle for hunting turkey.

Yes it was.Back in the early 70's in Pa it was OK.

FMJ drills a hole thru the chest, they die pretty quick.
