Since I bought a New Model Single Six Convertible, I decided not to get the Wrangler Convertible. I prefer .22 Mag.!
However, my son prefers .22 LR and since I have 5K rds of it which I got for a 4-5 cents/rd. it should keep him happy. He bought the original Wrangler.
I will admit that the Wrangler is a beautiful firearm.

Solved my own single six issue. I originally had seating issues with only armscor 22mag. Cleaned after each use but all the cci and winchester 22mag seated fine. Will shoot it more and see if everything smooths out.

Well, I was searching around on GunBroker and almost pulled the trigger on a Super. Then I got distracted and the bidding closed. What distracted me was my Single Six. And after a few minutes of soul searching and budget busting, I decided I really didn't need a knock around cheaper version of the Single Six. If I wanted a knock around version I reasoned I should just buy a stainless one. Hmmmm. How did talking myself out of a purchase somehow lead to an even more expensive one? Time will tell.

Watching the gun reviews makes me interested in the super wrangler. Just for a chance to buy a new Ruger. I have a wrangler I bought for my grandson that he thinks is the nearest gun I have in the safe. Of course it's his, and maybe I will buy a super just so he can have a back up. What better excuse for buying a gun than you can say you're going to give it to your grandkids? Yes I'm talking myself into buying one too. I have a gun show this weekend and I will be looking to see if there are any being offered so that I can touchy-feely.

Not a single vendor had a Super Wrangler this weekend at the gunshot.
:(
None here at the gun show either. I almost came home with a .480 Ruger stainless Super Blackhawk Bisley for $880, but I passed. But this evening I placed a $400 bid on a 3 screw Single Six and won at $392. It was listed as a 1960. I'll post pics when it gets here.

My local shop got one black Super in last week already had it sold . I asked when they would be getting more in Quantity . They could not answer . I did see they dropped the price on the first wrangler model by $20 dollars . Will the Sighted model make the old version a hard sell now ? I asked the price of the super , It went out the door for $274 plus tax , while the unsighted model is $199. So for $74 dollars more ...............................

I have a Wrangler which is great but my Stainless Single Six takes the cake… I got mine used cheap after someone tried polishing it…. Totally Eff'd up… I called Ruger to find out what they use, and it's GRAY Scotchbrite pads in short straight strokes to bring the finish back…. I did my single six and then a super redhawk. Can't tell them from new….. best info ever from Ruger

My Super is on order at LGS, no prediction when one in black or silver will show up.
Already had a spare RDS and just received the mount so it'll get a good wringing both LR and Mag soon after arrival.
