Has anyone had any issues with the take down lever on their SR22? I heard online about a lever failure that caused the aluminum slide to launch downrange! There is a company that sells billet plastic replacements that they claim are more durable, but who knows if that's accurate.

It would be a good idea to oil the outside of the barrel and the slide rails before going to the range. Also, do not shoot winchester white box 36 gr ammo, it will cause fail to feed issues.

I just found a stainless steel guide rod for the SR 22 online. Has anyone had any issues with the factory plastic guide rod? The steel rod is inexpensive, but I dont want to replace the OEM rod if there are no common issues with it.
