SR22 Guide rod

I just found a stainless steel guide rod for the SR 22 online. Has anyone had any issues with the factory plastic guide rod? The steel rod is inexpensive, but I dont want to replace the OEM rod if there are no common issues with it.

I'm a SR22 noob. I would like to have a two tone once they have the gun perfected. Please.
