Welcome to the GP100 club! I've not owned one of the Galco holsters, but do have a very nice holster I got from Simply Rugged. It's very comfortable and protects the firearm very well. I also bought a simple Fobus that I use in IDPA shoots. Biggest thing I have found is regardless of the...
I've been loading 38/357/223 about a year now. I went the route of buying a "Kit" from Lee. While I'm very happy with the kit, it has it's limitations (get what you pay for sort of thing). If you go the Classic route like I did, then UPGRADE to the pro powder measure (the std one isn't going to...
Been using Titegroup for awhile lately for my 38's/357's. Meters well, shoots consistently. It is somewhat sooty, but no where near something like Universal...
I own and love my GP100. Can shoot several boxes in an afternoon and not be hurt (not too bad if shooting hot 357's).
I have access to an SP, after the first cylinder of 357's, I'm very ready to put it down....
Both are 100% reliable.
GP will be much better plinker (daughter shoots mine...
I just can't get the hang of shooting SA when competing IDPA.... :) Some frown on my wheel gun as it is. I've got it practiced enough that I can SA stage my shots in DA... Only took a zillion rounds / dry fires to get there though. I use it as an excuse to shoot / practice more! Shoot -...
I just looked and don't really have a pic of the range itself. Just a few of my favorite shooting buddy. She's away to college now though..
Range is in Richmond Hill, GA. I'll get some actual range pic's next time I go.
+ vote for the Lee classic turret press kit.
However...
1. Opt up for the pro powder feeder. The one that is standard is not user friendly and will be junk in no time if you change powder disks for different loads.
2. Buy the carbide dies! Cleaning up lube is a pain in the rear and if you're...
I like my 4" GP100 allot.
While I cannot hit (reliably) smallish things at 100yds, I can do pretty well at 50.
If I was going to do more hunting, then I would opt for the longer barrel and scope. (I have a 6" taurus tracker in 22 cal that is a soup can killer at 100yds, it "just" weighs 4lbs...
I have the simply rugged holster for my GP100. It's comfortable to wear, but find it closes up some when I draw the pistol, making it somewhat difficult to re-holster... Just a though if you plan to do any IDPA or other comp with it.
I put a HiViz fiber optic front sight on mine and like it. You can get them for ~$30 so it's not a huge investment. Might try that before dropping the big $
