    32 S&W long in 32 H&R

I use the 32 SW for light loads and the 32 H&R for heavy loads. I also have a H&R 732 in 32 SW that shoots nice.

    32 H&R ?s

I use AA#5 in all my 32's as a low/medium velocity powder. A pound goes a long way. I believe the Speer manual list load data with AA5.

I got my cylinder back from CAS and it seems to shoot just fine. I need to shoot my buddy's loads to test if it has improved accuracy or not. But my real problem was lead build up in the cylinders.

Edlmann , pin guages would be great . But I have to make judgements based on the tools at hand. Ward , the lead problem I experienced was as follows. I was using jacketed bullets for my 32 H&R mag hot loads . I use .313 lead bullets for my 32 sw long plinking loads. Which I have a couple...

    Open 32 cylinder throats

I was down to my buddy's last night. His Buckeye throats seem to be .312, his Davidsons Vaquero are .314 and my baby Vaquero are 311. It's going to be raining the next couple days . But hopefully Sunday we are going to shoot all of these side by side using 313 cast bullets and see what the...

    Open 32 cylinder throats

Eric , my bullets drop out of the mould at .313- .3132 so I would like to keep them as close to that as possible. I would like to take small steps in opening up the throats and checking accuracy as I go.

On Brownwells website , The Manson reamer pilot pack for 45 colt comes with six pilots . So I would think that you would need at least 3 . .3105,.311, and .3115. Tough call unless you slug all your throats. Plus we are talking 5/10,000 of an inch . Your base pin has more slop than that for the...

Ward I believe the pilot just needs to be the size of your existing throat to make sure that the reamer is centered. So you should only need one. That is assumming all your guns are the same at .311.

    Blackhawk Convertible 32 H&R / 32-20

If these gentlemen say the Buckeye has a steel grip frame then it must be so . I'm recalling from shooting last fall that it didn't balance as good in my hand as the Vaquero . It may be because of the longer barrel. Fit and finish was good .

Ward, keep me posted on what you find. I would like to ream mine to .313. I would send it to the cylindersmith but I think .314 is too much. A 5/16 reamer is .3125. From what I have read is that the cylinder throats should be the same size as your bullet. Which is .313 for the cast bullet I...

Here is a picture of the short grip compared to the standard grip. Yes mine is rosewood.

    Blackhawk Convertible 32 H&R / 32-20

Buddy bought a Buckeye last year for $600 and then bought a Davidsons Stainless Vaquero for $450 at the local gunshop. I passed on the Vaquero due to lack of funds. They both shoot great. Now another local shop has a Buckeye for $700. Both guns were heavy but had little recoil even with hot...

Load for .32 Mag with 100 grain XTP

Rainman , I think with such a small case ,that mag primers aren't needed. There is plenty of flame with standard primers. I did have that problem in my Blackhawk 45 LC last summer. I used H110 with Winchester primers with no problems. I ran out of Win primers and bought CCI's . Well I got a...

327 Fed Mag dies and loads....questions???

I would go for the heaviest grain weight in the 327, which is usually 115 gr to 120 gr. You'll loose a little speed but get more punch.
