Garbage Disposal problem

Same thin happens here if I don't run the dishwasher often...it keeps the keeps the drain line from the dishwasher clear...

Guess I am old fashioned but the garbage is placed in a container and picked up each Tuesday morning by the trash collector and the dishwasher is ME.
I also do not use the dishwasher, but the house came with one...it drains into the disposal which will overflow into the dishwasher drain. Running the dishwasher a couple times a month on rinse will keep the garbage cleared. Not much leftover food here so mostly I feed birds a few snacks periodically.

Never had this problem before. Year old house, new construction. Warranty over. Sudden, and I mean overnight, odor coming from the disposal. Now we don't really use it much due to septic system. Very light crumbs, grounds, plate rinse etc. Pulled the trap and all clear. Rinsed out with several applications of baking soda and vinegar. Tried chunk ice and salt. Even bought some commercial cleaning tablets. Odor is worse in late afternoon and evening. Got worse when it warmed up outside. Not having any septic issues (that I'm aware of). Had a plumber change out a studer vent, but everything else was ok. He thought the diaphragm in vent might be bad. Still smelled bad.

NEVER had an issue with a disposal odor like this anywhere else we have been.

Thinking of replacing the unit. Any ideas?
FYI My plumber says NEVER put coffee grounds down your sink.

Everytime I have drain / smell problems, the answer has been to snake all the roof vents, starting the farthest from the street cleanout to the closest. You'll be amazed how much hair and paper is stuck in there.

"I've heard that a disposal can reduce the life of a septic system and require more frequent tank pumping, that's what my guy says at least..."

I live in a 7 house "development" and all are on individual septic systems. Those who have/had problems with the system or need tank pumped approximately every 3 years use a garage disposal. From what the pumping companies doing the wok told me a garbage disposal will fill the tank quicker. When we had the house built, we declined to have a garbage disposal installed.

The "old house" was on the county sewer system and had a garbage disposal. I found it best to run hot water for a few minutes to get the waste into the sewer system.

Garbage disposal? Dishwasher? What are these things you speak of?
Garbage disposal: Really kitchen scrap eliminator. My have four legs and double as security systems.
Dishwasher: I must say I have three prewashers that work quite well. Final wash is up to me (unless they do a real good job).

Sometimes a sudden stink comes from gunk sitting on the upper side of the splash guard, not the trap. Pulling it out and scrubbing it has saved me more than once. If the smell keeps coming back, I’ve had a υδραυλικοσ do a quick check on the drain line slope and venting, and that sorted a stubborn odor I couldn’t chase down on my own.
