    you will never know its gone. I would hang on to it and install it back to if you ever sell it or send it in for repairs.

    have tried both with my SR40C and can say I like the feel with the pinky ext. BUT the flat for concealed carry.

    SR22p and lead fouling

    have you checked the barrel to see if the bolt has come loose? ( The ammo fouled my barrel so badly that my groups opened up to about 12+ inches at 7 yards. )

    SR22 racking the slide vs slide release

    I always try to rack the slide on all my semiautos. I know if you do malfunction drills they tell you to tap and rack the slide and its best to do the same thing everytime.

    I have found if I ride the slide forward I get the same thing. have been told to slingshot the slide forward ( pull back and let go ) and all good
