Your favorite Ruger Semi-Automatic pistol

I was pondering exactly what the members favorite Ruger semi-auto pistol they own.
In the past the Ruger P97 & P93 were my favorites.. but over the years I ended up trading them off …
But as of now the Ruger Security 380 is my now favorite … easy shooting , easy to rack and very dependable..

I've owned most all of them.

I never found interest in any of the P-series, and any or all of Ruger's plastic pistols, are just another plastic pistol. One's as good as another, regardless of brand.

My favorite of the bunch would be the SR1911.

But there is irony here. Although i don't care much for plastic pistols, I carry a LCP as a back-up to other handguns. And although I profess my favoritism of the 1911, I almost never carry one, as I've transitioned to SIG's all-metal pistols.

Since I only have one it would be my MKII 6 7/8 " Gov't model. Also my favorite. 22lr pistol. Now if you asked about Ruger revolvers there would be too many to choose from.

I only own a small number of firearms, but by far the largest percentage are Ruger semi autos. Probably my favorite would be my normal everyday carry, an LC9s that I pocket carry more often than I carry anything else. But I really like every one of my Rugers, which I have found are as reliable as my Glocks, and that is saying something. Right now I am down to a single revolver, and this is a S&W.

Yes, I was going to say the P95 which I still own a few even after letting go of 3 or 4 over the years... but then I have to say my MKIII I really love... even though I last took the challenge and broke it down and cleaned it about 5,000 rounds ago... I stopped my Ruger addiction right when the corporate mindset there moved over to all striker fired in their semi-autos... I did buy a little LC9s-pro and carried it for a number of years...

Mark II with 5 inch bull barrel. It is the only self loading Ruger I have. Lots of revolvers.

The very first gun I bought for myself was a Ruger P90, 45 acp in 1987. I must have put 50,000rds thru that gun and it still ran like it was brand new.

That's fairly easy, I only have five Ruger pistols currently.....I lost my MKII's 27 years ago in a divorce. I have a MKIII 22/45 and a MKIV 22/45 with tactical vomit all over it.....both are extremely fun.

But.....that original P85 I found months back has a lot of sentimental favoritism....it takes me back to a time I wish I could go back to and never return in some ways (the EX-wife ruins most of the memories).

So I'd say that P85 is my favorite Ruger pistol.

I need to find a clean P90 and a nice P345.

Now, not to twist the thread but if we were talking favorite Ruger Revolver......which I have a lot more of.......hands down the Security Six I bought in 1985.

Rimfire would be a MKll bull barrel. 9mm would be the RXM. .45 the lightweight Commander.

My 2019 SR9 - paid $249.99 on a closeout at Sportsman's Warehouse.
Soft shooter and much more accurate than I am.
It serves as my nightstand gun.

Followed closely by this LCP Max which is 1/2 of my EDC rotation.
