Just passing this along from another forum:

You Know You're Drinking Too Much Coffee When...

You ski uphill.

You speed walk in your sleep.

You answer the door before people knock.

You sleep with your eyes open.

You just completed another sweater and you don't know how to
knit.

You grind your coffee beans in your mouth.

You have to watch videos in fast-forward.

The only time you're standing still is in an earthquake.

You lick your coffeepot clean.

Your eyes stay open when you sneeze.

The nurse needs a scientific calculator to take your pulse.

You can type sixty words a minute with your feet.

You don't need a hammer to pound nails.

You don't sweat, you percolate.

You've worn out the handles on your favorite mug.

You've built a miniature city out of plastic stirrers.

People get dizzy just watching you.

People can test their batteries in your ears.

When someone asks you," How are you?" you answer," Good to the
last drop."

Your birthday is a national holiday in Brazil.

You go to sleep just so you can wake up and smell the coffee.

Your Thermos is on wheels.

You can outlast the Energizer Bunny.

You don't even wait for the water to boil anymore.

You think being called a drip is a compliment.

You don't tan, you roast.

You don't get mad, you get steamed.

You soak your dentures in coffee overnight.

You think CPR stands for "Coffee Provides Resuscitation."

And I'll bet you look just like a Meth Lab.

I still drink coffee and colas and tea but without the sugar and caffeine. The side effects seem to be disappearing. :D

A couple of weeks ago, Bureau of Reclamation called and wanted my assistance on designing a farm water project. I was supposed to drive 100 miles to a meeting last Thursday. A snowstorm was due in Wednesday night (it hasn't stopped snowing since).

So, I got up to 3" of snow with lots more coming down and predictions for at least 2 days more. The night before, the wife had been diagnosed with pneumonia (at least 4 friends have it right now), so I let her sleep in and made my own coffee. I drink a brand called Deadman's Reach, from Alaska. It is designed for Finals Week, Crab Season, Long-Haul Trucking, etc. I made a double strong batch of coffee (twice as many beans and ground for a full 30 seconds). I went in to work at 5:30 and drank a full thermos full. At 7:30, I received an e-mail cancelling the meeting because State Patrol was closing roads. But, the damage was done...............

I'm a died in the wool coffee addict. While most people have a few cups a day, I have a few pots a day. The joke at work is that when my time comes and I get cremated all anyone will smell is freshly roasted coffee.

I have no idea how much coffee I drank today but here's what I remember. Made a pot @5AM, drank 2 cups, filled a giant go cup for the morning drive(140 miles), refilled after 60 miles, 4 cups at the Dr. office, 2 cups during the drive home, and finished the remaining 2 cups left from the morning pot after supper.
And this is typical of most days.

For three years, I worked a Straight Midnight shift as a QC Tech in a 24 hour operation; Only person in the Lab and office area; I use to go through TWO pots of coffee in the lab and a couple of cups out in the Distillation control house.

I am on my third coffee maker............that I installed in my Kenworth..I will ne ER be more than 50 feet from my Nectar of the gods"!!! Sitting alone on an oilfield, location with no one around for 100 miles watching this sunset,,listening to the coyotes sing, and drinking a fresh pot of coffee.........brothers and sisters how can this get any better...I hope they come out with a coffee I.V. drip system, so I can enjoy without taking my hands off the wheel :D

I had some stomach problems a few years and one thing the doctor told me was to limit my intake of chocolate, tomato based food, alcohol and coffee.
All the major food groups.
All were easy enough to avoid. The coffee was the hardest to give up. I'm back to drinking coffee, but I now temper it with a bit of half and half.

You know you're drinking too much coffee when....

You walk into the local Coffee Shop and it sounds like Norm just walk into Cheers...

You may also have a problem if there is a seat there with sign "Reserved For" and your name on it....

I have a Melita single serving maker and it is hard to find the 'pods' for it locally, so I get them on line and have them delivered to the house. I load arrived just about three hours ago. 18 Pods to a bag; got ten bags. That should hold me a couple weeks at least.

I can remember several years ago when "they" said, more than two cups a day would kill a normal white guy! Ha! I proved that to be wrong!

I don't measure cups per day.. I measure in pots a day. Started drinking coffee at about three or four years old.. used cream and sugar to start.. then just sugar.. by six, I was drinking black.
The only side effect is when I go two or three hours without it.. I start to get a headache. It doesn't keep me awake or make me hyper or nervous... But, I've only been drinking it for 64 years!
