Lucky day today! At the store today over by the deli counter they have a butcher
block with a wheel of Xtra Sharp Cheddar. It is self serve and if you can carve off
a piece exactly one pound it is free. I have tried countless times and have come close from time to time, today I nailed it one free lb of cheese. For some reason it taste
a bit better than usual! :D ps

.

That Extra Sharp Cheddar (shredded), along with some American cheese shredded from a block (not sliced), is what I use for making yummy Mac N Cheese. :)

That seems like genius marketing, to me!

I’ll bet that there are a lot of people who would otherwise take a half-pound, but instead try to hit that exact one-pound mark!

LLLLLove extra sharp Tillamook cheddar and venison summer sausage sandwiches!
BINGO! When I was in Alaska, I loved the extra sharp Tillamook cheese, and bought it in 2lb blocks to eat with my Sailor’s Crackers( described as a sturdy, unleavened cracker). Man I miss them! To the OP, ya might want to buy an lottery ticket too?

He does sell a ton of the stuff gets it somewhere in Vermont! ps

That is smart marketing. Nothing better than an extra sharp cheddar. Luckily, neither my wife nor my son enjoy it, so when I buy a block, it's all mine!

Good job of cutting!
Over here I'm working on a chunk of 10 year Wi. cheddar, pretty hard to beat.
