Sharp comeback......

We met with our Widowed Men's Group today. Most of us are veterans of the military. And most of us served only one or two enlistments. One though was a career man with the Air National Guard.

We each told of our service, one served one and a half years in the Army, others three or four year hitches. The Guardsman snorted: "I've spent more time in the latrine than all of y'all's service together."

A retort: "Yeah, we had cooks like that, too."

I had two co-workers, one retired Army the other retired Air Force. Army was jump qualified and Air force was C-130 loadmaster. One day in our shift briefing Army bragged that he was paid an extra $100.00 a month to jump out of Airplanes. Air Force replied that he was paid an extra $250.00 a month to stay in the plane.
