Wrong grips!

Bought a pair of Altamont grips this morning that were supposed to fit the New Vaquero/Flattop Blackhawk, I.E. the wife's gun. Got them home and found out they fit my large-frame Vaquero. Oy!

What do I tell the wife, besides that I'm going back tomorrow to find out of they have the grips in the proper size for her gun, like these were supposed to be.

Sometimes it will make a difference in how well you shoot it, too.

they look good, how much did those Altamont grips cost ??? does her gun have the "non cut out at the top ,front edge of the grips??

reason I ask is here are some we picked up at this weekends gun show, they fit the "new" New Model XR-3 grips, no angle slot cut at the top front, and straight up the back, they fit "exactly" the same size as the old model XR-3 except you have to "notch" the top inner front edge and slightly elongate the locating pinhole and the y fit 'perfectly' the OMs ,as well as the anniversary style flatops of 2005 and newer...........

If they don't have them, just sand an 1/8" off the short upper front edge and move the locating pin hole and they'll fit like made for her NV.

And I'm going to have to order her a set. She likes the ones I bought.
