Wolverine's Lunch

Wolverine's are well known for their jaw strength,, and ability to eat almost anything. I once heard that; "A wolverine eats rocks just to strengthen their jaws!" Of course,, that's never been proven,, but it's an example of their ability.

Wolverine don't care, wolverine's bad-ass. Oh that nasty wolverine!

we shot one at camp this year at 4500 feet AGL, chewing on a Caribou leg from one we harvested the day before!!!. in 40 years plus in AK. 4 one I have ever seen. Scott

Some how that just seems wrong....first one I've ever seen, so I killed it?
Here in Michigan the consensus is they're all gone from our state. Somebody
claims to have found the last known one dead a few years ago.

Never seen one....but I hear that they are not known for their sense of humor. There has gotta be a back story for why the photographer stood right there in stead of climbing a tree.

Remember, to a biologist, a wolverine is nothing but a badger on steroids!

We trapped one in North Central Washington/eastern Cascades. In a few years (<5), she went to southern B.C., down the western Cascades, back to B.C., down to the Olympic Peninsula, back to eastern Cascades and had 3 litters.

give me abit, I'll post a photo of the one we got this year. scott

Ahh! The dreaded flying Wolverine. I didn’t know they could get up to that altitude.

AGL - Above Ground Level
ASL - Above Sea Level
