Wolff springs for a new single action

I as of yet have not bought one of the newer single actions with the internal lock. Can you still swap out Wolff springs easily for the factory springs?

The "internal" lock was discontinued 2-3 years ago. Someone here can give you a serial number range that "may" have the lock. Some never had it and some did but the recently produced guns do not have the lock. The only way to know for sure is to remove a grip panel.

I am not 100% sure but I think all the springs will interchange. The only one that I would question would be the main spring as the lock was built into the main spring seat. But now that I think about it I believe its not an issue. I removed the lock on a new .44 spl, made a new seat out of stainless, reused the factory mainspring and never looked back.

I did the same as Robb did with a pair of NM Vaquero's. The springs were fine.

I called Wolff and asked them about their HAMMER springs for NM Rugers and the tech told me that they make a shorter spring for the models that have the 'internal lock'. J.
