Winchester Black Talon, Et Al

I have a box in .45 AUTO and I'm not sure why. Guess I should sell it now that I've kept it locked away for years. Anyone have some dumb collectible consumables?

Yes I have quite a bit of old ammunition from the late 40s-50s for old rifles in very colorful boxes in .30-30 .270 .3006 and 300 Savage among others.

I like older ammo boxes. I've acquired a few over the years.

I've got some .44 mag Black Talon. Don't even remember where I got them. Back in 91' I won a drawing for 3 boxes of BT in 9mm. Hane no idea what I did with them?

I still have 20 or so rounds left myself. I carry them on the rare occasion I carry my 1911 or Glock 30.
One of the Ranger rounds is basically the same thing without the black coating.

Those Black Talons, they will kill you deader than dead I mean they will go right past dead and who knows where you will end up. Same goes for those states who have banned magazines over ten rounds, everyone knows a ten round mag won't kill you but if you have a 15-round mag in your gun that will definitely kill you, maybe as dead as a Black Talon.

All that. Mine are too hard to get to or I'd dig them out and sell them. I'm already at 2X the price. Some would say it's only inflation. My guess rarity and the original headlines have some cause with BT's specifically.

Oh, I remember the "Black Talon".....In CA at the time, they were considered to be too deadly of a bullet !! ..we need more friendly bullets. So they just basically changed the packaging and the name and all is good now....?? Personally, I would hold on to them as just being an oddity or a good conversation piece.
