I usually don't like Will Ferrell that much, but this bit he did with Jimmy Fallon about Little Debbie snack Cakes, just rolled me laughing.

FWIW, I worked for Little Debbie's father at the bakery. That was back when she was little. She must be a grandma by now! I still buy "snack cakes" occasionally.

Who would have thought that McKee Foods would develop into such a large corporation?

Last I herd, Mr. McKee was still running around Ooltewah in his old pickup wearing his blue jeans.

He told Chattanooga(Hamilton Co.) he needed a road to have a better access to I-75 or he would be moving the plant.
They said, yes sir, just where would he like to have this road!? .. he told them.

The road connects the plant in Collegedale to I-75.. it's called Little Debbie Parkway!

I have a friend who has driven a truck and delivered Little Debbie snacks to stores for close to 30 years now..... he's trying to cut back but says no matter what, he is going to keep the contract with the local prison.... 250K a year in Little Debbies!

Mr McKee used to live on a ridge east of the Collegedale airport, that had an Apison address. My aunt and Uncle lived on the same road. My father had also worked for McKee Baking Co.

I think that was O. D. McKee(founder).. his son, Ellsworth McKee, just sold his home in Ooltewah for $2.3 million.

Ellsworth lived by the airport on a ridge. OD lived in Collegedale back in the early 70's. Times change don't they! I went to school in Atlanta with a niece.
