I have a NM .357 6.5" barrel Blackhawk. When I remove the cylinder the base pin often rotates a little so that it rotates the barrel out of the cutout and it jams. Annoying. Is it likely that a Belt Mountain Base Pin will correct this situation? If so which one should I get? I have no other issues. It stays latched. The gun is accurate. It is a convertible and is just difficult when changing cylinders or cleaning it. I guess what I am asking is the head of the BM base pin shaped better so it will not have that difficulty?

yes you have a better "grip" ( control) with the larger Belt Mountain pins, and if you polish or loosen up the the factory ones you can get into other issue, try and keep it cleaned and lightly oiled...make sure there are NO burrs on the cylinder frame pin hole also.........pin, frame holes ,and cylinder gotta be nice an 'free and easy';NOT "sloppy" ;)
