Greetings all. I have a question for anyone who may know.

First of all, this is obviously a borrowed picture. I bought one of these new when they were avaialble. Wiley Clapp Night Hawk Carry in 45, acp cyliner, and LC cyliner. It was never fired due to some unplanned circumstances here and has been sitting in my safe in box with all, just as purchased.

Now retired, and selling some of what I have collected over the last 50 years. Does anyone know how may of these were made, and is there any collector interest for them? It is NOT currently for sale and I am not even looking for value, although I will not be upset if anyone knows what it would be ballpark. I have not yet even decided if I am going to sell this one or shoot it. I have another older fixed sight birdshead 3.5” in stainless and 45 acp only that I have shot as well as another identical to that, unfired and as new. I will be keeping 1 of the 3 I just need to decide which one.

I have NO idea how many of these were made.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call whoever distributed it … TALO or Lipsey I assume

Ruger doesn't release production numbers,, and sometimes a distributor who made a special order can answer the question. But even if a distributor orders 1000 of a model,, Ruger will make a few more than that to be used as potential replacements in case one gets returned & is "bad!"

I sure liked the idea of this,,, so I made my own on a MEDIUM frame FLATTOP 45C/45ACP, shooting mostly 45 ACP/ 45 COWBOY SPECIAL, because of the easier ejection.

Used a Montado Hammer, along with a few other personal custom touch's.
