The EAA girsan 380 with tip up barrel is a godsend to people with limited strength. However that gun has other problems and you should read the reviews on it to determine if it is suitable for your needs. I was considering the Girsan when I was thinking of selling my Ruger Security 9 that I had problems with racking the slide. However I contacted a company that sold weaker recoil springs and purchased a 15lb spring (the original spring is 17lb) - it made enough difference in the force necessary to rack the slide that I decided not to purchase the Girsam.

Well, I just got back from the range and the gun would not eject the fired rounds. I had to rack the slide for it to eject the fired round and insert another new cartridge. So it's back to putting in the original 17lb spring. Looks like I may get the gersan and sell the Ruger 9.
