Colion says everyone needs an AR-15. I disagree. 🙂

I disagree because I have one of these:

And one of these:

I am having the HOTS!! for HK MR556. Debatn on selling 4-5 everday AR's to partially fund one

Looked like a staged event to me...and what's with the shirtless dude and ladder behind the counter?....Anyhow, I got the message regardless....but...I agree with Gunny in that I don't need an AR either. Different reason(s) but same premise. Actually, I never liked 'em, nor had a use for one that couldn't be done as well or better by something else.....Plus, I have no use for plastic 'n pot metal no matter how it's configured. I've said before on here that I've pistol whipped way more people than I've shot. I strongly suspect that trend to continue from here on out, so I want my rifle to be made of steel and wood just like my side arm(s).

Pump shotgun......... nothing else needed for defense IMHO.
U can even hide it in a pair of "husky sized" jeans... 😇

I had no use for an AR15, until Biden.
Now I own two of them.
I still have no use for them BUT............

I bought an H-BAR back in the 90s because I thought that I wanted to get involved in high power rifle. That never happened.

Then when Hillary was running against the Donald, I got nervous and bought two more.

Really don't need any of them.

I’ve got a corner full of them, my favorite in AR-15 size is my 458 SOCOM and the 338 Federal wins the AR-10! Don’t see me buying another one though, unless of course it is a screaming deal, then it will also lean in the corner.

A friends wife asked me several years "why do you need an AR-15" I replied "I don't need 1, I am allowed to own 1 and choose to own as many as I want, not need".
Of course next came, "They kill people". Me, yes they do and so do passenger vehicles and you own 2. They kill a hell of a lot more people then a AR-15. Why do you think you need 2".
"Well that's different"
"Yep, it is different. The law doesn't say it's your right to own those cars, the law says I have a right to own an AR-15.

When I was in the Army,, I got introduced to the M-16. I shot several quite a bit. When I got out of the Army,, I had no desire to own an AR-15.
But one day,, I had a guy needing money badly,, and offering me a Colt real cheap. (Early 1980's.) I bought it,, never shot it,, and sold it later.
Then I won a gift certificate from DPMS Arms at a USPSA match for a complete upper. I ordered it,, and had a friend build a lower. I never shot it either. Sold it as well.
Then Sandy Hook happened & Hussain went on a rant & all and I decided that if I ever got another one,, I'd keep it just to pizz off the anti's.
Well a few months later I won a Stag Arms AR-15. Still have it. I call it my anti-Hussain gun.
Yet,, I did finally get a few more over the last several years,, and I have a practical use for a couple of them.
Do I need one? NO!!!!! I have other things that can do as much & more than they do. But I kinda like having something the anti's like to hate.

Stoner had no idea the brilliance of the AR platform when He designed it. Unsurpassd modularity. When built with top end parts, their a solid 3/8 moa rifle. If tuned properly they hardly ever Jam.
Some can shoot the AR as well as a bolt action rifle. I am not one of those. I think it is more of a mental issue knowing the mass of the BCG moving back an forth and rotating to unlock. Also spring or hyd buffer compressing. But I still appreciate the AR for what it is

Shot one in 22lr. It was so fun at the range I had to have my own. The little pop of the 22 round and then the pause and the pop of the target (100yards).
I ended up ordering a combo package that had two uppers but quickly got a second lower to make two complete.

Using what other 'platform' can a fairly handy guy turn an unfinished lower receiver and a box of parts into a functional firearm in a couple of hours? What other 'platform' allows a complete change of cartridge/caliber in a couple of minutes?
I never shot a really accurate M-16 mostly due to bore deterioration resulting from overuse of the 'happy switch' or maintenance issues.

I have had several gas piston AR’s. Turn off the gas and they’re like shooting a .22. I still have one of them with a 14.5” barrel.
