I recently ordered some small parts. Instead of a pin a got a sight. I am wondering which gun this is for. Does someone recognise this front sight?

I first thought SP101, but the front of the SP101 slight is slanted, while the front of this sight is straight.

Thanks!

they easily and often 'transpose'?? numbers within a model so if you ordered for an SP 101, then most likely it is for one, but it does look like it may work in one of the fixed sight Speed,Police or Service Six guns........beats having to make one from scratch ( Starrett stock...)

If you ordered it from Brownell's, it's part of what was at least an ongoing problem. They've had someone putting the wrong parts in bags. The order filler then goes by the part description and # on the bag, and it goes out.

I have received spiral pins that were in bags that described the grip frame screws I ordered, and screws that were in bags that were marked as Ruger hammer plungers. The good folks at Brownell's always make it right once they are informed.

I think it's a front sight for a Ruger GP100 fixed sight model:

This clearly is straight in front while the SP101 sight is slanted. It also seems higher than the SP101 sight.

The label on the bag corresponds to what I ordered, but obviously the part does not.

Since this is an international order (I live in Europe) I feel bad about having Brownells send a two dollar part across the globe ... I think I'll just include the correct part in my next order.

I also think it might be for a fixed sight GP-100. It definitely is not for a Speed or Service Six.
