Where is CGDustDevil?

I liked him, too. I recall him saying he was taking a break. I checked and he hasn't posted in the Politics forum for years. I think he got tired of the grief some were giving him. That's my take on it, anyway. Good guy!

If you post controversial stuff, expect controversy. Or as the old saying goes “if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen”.

Leaving because you catch some flak just lets your opponent win by default.

Sadly, running away is the only way some have been taught to respond to unpleasantness.

I think this is NOT the case with CGDD. I know he is actively involved in working on issues important to Liberty.
If he doesn't post here, it's because he has bigger fish to fry. Everyone has limited time. Wasting it arguing on the internet is a luxury not everyone can afford.

I too miss his posts and his presence. I hope he returns some day.

↑ I hope you're you're making a broad statement and not one about CGDD. He never said anything whatsoever that I recall and I read every single post of his. I just got a feeling, nothing more-nothing less. He shared a lot of extremely good info with us over the years. I never took him to be thin skinned. Some members simply move on for whatever reason. That's what Pete did.

PS: I was typing this before Watchman posted. The arrow is for Jeepnik's post.

Hi,

I don't ever recall Pete backing down just because the kitchen was warming up. But there are a lot of things in politically oriented forums, not just gun related, where one opens up the post and it's always the same old people with the same old complaints. SOS-DD as it were. That can become tiresome easily enough. That's how I read Pete's last message that I recall: he was getting tired of it and needed a break.
