Oh I agree its just too big to be a pocket pistol. My Kel-tec PF9 is way smaller and its just barley small enough to be pocketable, and I'm a big guy, I couldn't imagine trying to pocket an LC9....
As for the kick, well, I havent shot it, but I bet its not that bad. The polymer grip is going to help a LOT there, plus it looks to have more grip area than most sub compacts. My kel-tec is lighter and smaller than the LC9, and I dont find its kick that bad... sure its more than my P95, but thats to be expected for a gun that weighs less than a pound... Its about comparable to my brothers Bersa thunder .380....
