$529 ($562 OTD) at Adventure Outdoors in Smyrna, GA. Couldn't believe it when I saw the ad. Was waiting for a good deal on a CMD, but there is no way I could pass on this one! Almost 500 rounds fired now and not one one issue. There just isn't a better quality 1911 for the money.

I got mine for 589 (622 otd) last week at Van Raymond Outfitters I'm Brewer Maine. It was used, the before me had it for three months and brought it back to trade it in for a kimber. It came with everything - the box, manuel, lock, proof test cartridge, and such. It was proof tested in August bought in December traded back in around march and purchased again on April 4. It has been a fantastic gun! I love my Rugers! 6" GP100 SS and now my SR1911 :D

Here this thread started 12-15-2011 and I'm just now getting around to buying the SR1911.

Bought mine USED today for $600.00 OTD. That included 100 pieces of brass from what the seller fired through it and 500 rounds of new Magtech 45ACP, an extra Ruger brand 7 round mag still in the package plus the box and all the goodies it came with from the factory.

Was looking at my mags that came with my CMD and noticed that the patent numbers on the ruger mags are the same as the patent numbers on my kimpro tac mags. Anyone else notice this? I know ruger contracted with mec gar to produce their mags, it seems kinber did as well.

I also noticed today that my cmd does not care for pmc ball, a lot of loading issues that went away with win white box but returned with the pmc. I tried the rest of the pmc in my talon ii and it worked fine. A quirk I noted in the cmd's logs.

Once I switched to wwb the cmd functioned flawlessly for 1700 rounds with a very basic cleaning every 300 rounds.

My primary carry load is guard dog 45 with my 2nd mag being 185 grain jhp and the last 2 mags use 45 ACP Bill Wilson Signature Match 230 gr. Hornady HAP, 760 FPS

Sousana I can't verify it but I have seen it posted that Ruger SR 1911 mags are made by Checkmate.
