I'd bring along my trimmed back .44 flattop 3 screw (vintage 1957)

And as a back up, one of these birdsheads:

Never one for showy, flashy stuff just for showing off so no wiener guns for me.

No pictures...technically challenged.

Original Size VAQUERO in 44 magnum. Previous owner cut to 3.5 inch barrel and magna-ported...still too much gun for him and I got a SMOKIN' DEAL on the pocket rocket at the local gun shop. It now wears a DRAGOON grip frame plus a SBH hammer and trigger I got from 2 Dogs AND on occasion, my ivory grips from Paul Persinger. When I get rich and affluent, Bob Mernickle will be happy to make me an appropriate high riding Cowboy Action rig.

So many projects...so little money...don't know how much time.

Umm...I think you are missing the point...

For some hot dogs on the end of a whittled stick...This one. The shuck is new in that pic...it has a bit more character today.

That ain't no weenie roast gun. :?

That a fine looking custom BBQ gun of the highest order...very nice!

Maybe I should bring my Colt 1917 .45 and leave my Ruger at home.

Looks like a fair bit of smithing on that gun. The sights look great.

This is my Weiner Roast, BBQ, and other formal occasion gun. If it isn't pretty enough for the fancy folks, they'll just have to get over it. It is what it is, New Model Ruger Blackhawk Cal .45, and Plain Jane leather. Yep, that's real ivory.

That's exactly where I'm going tomorrow after church...........and this is .45 I'll carry.

I don't know if I really have a fancy one for formal dress weenie roasts.

But the last one I had one *at* was this formerly sad little SP101 that I rescued, gave a bit of a makeover and dressed up with teak grip panels. It was at a weiner roast on a remote NC coastal island over gathered driftwood that you had to paddle to in a seakayak to get there. I can report that the weenies were excellent, and the SP101 was the belle of the weenie roast ball.
