Me at the Wall in DC.

Sorry about the glare. It was hard to get a clear pic there. A very moving place. The statue was covered to refinish it.

Just got back a few weeks ago myself. I'd have to say Arlington Cemetary and the Tomb of the Unknowns was the highlight for me. My hats off to the veteran's assistance groups that help out some of the older vets and those with mobility problems to get them to the memorials. Nice folks!

The older brother of my boyhood best friend is on that wall. If not for him, Keith and I would have drowned in the spring of 1967. Don was killed during the Tet Offensive. I still shed tears for him, and thank God he was there that day.

Don sticks out for me, but the sacrifice of the rest of those fine men and women is not lessend for me.

I'm not going to the wall, even when they bring it here.
