My wife is not exactly disabled, but when it comes to walking, she can't match me for speed or distance. Before going on a couple of short vacation trips, I purchased an "Ultra-Light Transport Chair" at Walgreens (just over $100 on sale)so I could push her around. We took it to a wildlife park today, where it worked well---except for the grips. These were a very hard plastic, with sharp, square ribbing molded in. THEY HURT! On the way home, I purchased some inexpensive BMX grips at a bike shop. Much better.

I decided to call the service number on the box. Just 2 rings, and I WAS TALKING TO A LIVE PERSON! And a pleasant, intelligible young American gal, at that! She took the details, and provided me with a number I could use to follow up what they were doing.

And no, I'm not drunk, stoned, or lying.

From what I've experienced in the last year or so is that customer service is getting better than the automated crap. I always comment that I'm impressed if I get a rep on the line in less than 90 seconds who I can understand. I had to call Colt about an issue and got a rep in under 60 seconds. So help me god, if I ever get another "Billy" from India I'll... :)
