First of all, I will not post his name since this guy would probably sue me. However, I will describe my recent experience which I am sure someone else probably will recognize who it is.
This dealer is only on line. He is known for dealing many surplus firearms.
I ordered a surplus CZ 50 that was pictured on his web site. When I picked it up at my dealer, I did not notice that it was actually a CZ 70 with CZ 50 grips and hammer. The sales slip he sent with the gun actually stated it was a CZ 50 and listed the serial number of the gun he sent. I did not realize it was a CZ 70 until after I got it home and started to clean it.
When I called the dealer, his wife pushed back saying it was my fault that that I did not check it closer at my dealer. She finally agreed to send me a drop tag for shipping it back to them via USPS. She also agreed to refund $30 that what my dealer charged me for transferring it to me.
Today, I went to my dealer to pick up the CZ 50 they sent me. This gun was in very poor condition and not the one in the photo on his web site.
When I called the selling dealer from my FFL’s shop, the selling dealer advised me to have my dealer send it back to them and they would refund my purchase price. He further stated I was rude to his wife and he did not want to deal with me any more.
This dealer is a fraud and practices this “bait and switch” routine with others, I am sure. That is why I feel that there are other victims of his business practice that will recognize him by this post.
In one of my text messages to him I mentioned that ATF may have an interest in this situation. His response was …” The cz70 was our mistake but other than that get fxxxxd lol, call the ATF I don’t care.”….
He further sent me this explanation of this situation:
…”As previously stated, you will receive a refund of $254.99. You already received a $30 refund per previous communication. We are not required to refund transfer fees for YOUR error of not verifying the firearm PRIOR to being transferred by your FFL. We did not intentionally send you a CZ70 in place of the CZ50, which you received and no longer want. We corrected the error for the mistaken CZ70 being sent & sent you the CZ50 you ordered, which once again you no longer want.
The main photo (first photo) changes when we update the photos on the listing for the next batch of pistols, as we explained on the phone. The pistol number photos also change when we restock the next batch, hence why there is only ONE of each pistol 1, ONE pistol 2, ONE pistol 3, etc.
I have informed you of what will be done when we receive it back. We no longer need to communicate about this order and I will issue you the refund once it’s received and verified.”…

Just be careful gang. This is the first time something like this has happened to me with over 100 on line transactions.
As a retired state police detective, it is embarrassing.
