Very Satisfied with Penn Bullets

Just thought I'd give credit where credit was due.

I shot my second batch of hand loads yesterday. .38 Specials loaded with Penn Bullet's 158gr truncated cone design over 4.5gr of Unique. Absolutely no leading using their Cowboy Action Alloy; cleanup was a breeze.

We ordered 500 of the Cowboy Action Alloy (recommended up to 950 fps) and 500 of their "Premium Grade" which is recommended up to 1600 fps, I plan on using these when I get some .357 Magnums loaded up.

It took about 5 days, including a weekend, to have the bullets at my reloading bench. When I had a question about recommended loads for .357 Magnum using Unique powder, Mr. Palermo responded to my e-mail within the hour.

As always, I appreciate any help and guidance I get as I start loading and I couldn't have asked for better service and support.

Yes, I've also had good luck with Penn Bullets in .45 Colt 250g RNFP. But lately I have been ordering from Rim Rock Bullets as they are closer to home and seem to work as well. No leading in either case.

Did you order on-line or call to place order? I placed an order on-line 7 weeks ago and still haven't received the order. I did email for status a couple of weeks ago and Bob mentioned that he had some equipment issues. No hurry here, but I've read of several folks receiving their order within 5 days so I'm starting to think there may be a problem.

I've heard great things about Penn and am anxious to give them a try.

I called in the order. I did receive an e-mail confirmation of the details of the order within a few days.

I'm sure the speed of my order was helped out by the fact that I was ordering bullets that were already produced (158 grain .358 caliber truncated cone design).

Hopefully everything will get worked out with your order soon.

Glad to see this. I have 500 cowboy alloy 125gr TC of .38 heading this way now. Also SWc for the .44's here. First time dealing with Penn. If I'm happy with what shows up will consider some of the .44 wadcutters they offer. steve b

I believe the delay in my order has to do with having to cast another batch of .41's. I'll happily wait... looks like good stuff.
