Are all of the New Vaqueros on the same frame size? Particularly interested in the 44 SPL vs the 45C

I'm a 45C man and am looking for an excuse to buy a 44Spl. Debating on a BM vs a Vaquero.

Also, I have been looking for deals on GB and was wondering are all of the case colored Vaqueros the heavier frame?

Can we get a sticky on Ruger frame sizes?

Thanks

All the New vaqueros are on the medium sized frame. All the case color finish (it's a chemical treatment not real case coloring) were on the Vaqueros built on the lg frame.

WRONG! New Vaqueros with the fake case colors shipped in large quantity before Ruger abandoned that stupid finish. My 2005-era NewVaq357 is a fake-case-colors gun.

Ruger's "blued" guns are now a tasteful all-blue, no more of that rust-attracting junk.

All Ruger 44Spl guns to date have been built on the mid-sized frame. Due to possibly a screwup the ones with fixed sights have been marked "Vaquero" instead of "New Vaquero". Whatever - if it says 44Spl on the frame, it's a mid-sized frame. Same with the 44Spl Blackhawks - they're the same gun as the 50th Anniversary 357 Flattop mid-frame except bored out to 44Spl.

Ooooo, I knew that too. Thank you for making that correction.

Another easy way to tell is the NV's have a 3 digit prefix. (510 or 511 so far)
