What do you guys think? I have not seen one first hand but it looks cool in pictures. Anyone swap this in on a single six or Blackhawk?

If you're talking about the crescent shaped ejector rod, then yes. I have a New Vaquero which bears it, and I'm planning to swap one in on my Blackhawk project.

I think they work just as easily as the normal button ejector rod, and I prefer the appearance of the crescent shape, and like its lower profile.

Wasn't clear but yes this is what I am talking about. Care to post a picture? maybe with your hand in the shot or both styles close to each other so I can get an idea on size.

Thanks,

Just did this exact job this morning on a Single Seven. Sorry for the quick crappy picture.

That does look nice. A call to Ruger is in order. I need to make a grocery list and then call though. I always forget some small part when I call and then kick myself later. Last time I forgot the small pin that goes thru the grip frame to hold the grips in place.

Oh well, I like to tinker. Thanks so much for the picture. It is just what I needed.

G2,

That doesn't look like a Ruger crescent knob? It looks a lot nicer than the original Ruger crescent knobs shown here:

Looks more like a modified Colt rod.
Here's an unmodified Colt rod on my Montado New Vaquero:

It is factory ruger.

You posted the blue one here is the stainless.

Click on Brownells photo and look closely, that's not the same as G2's.

Mine is a Ruger part, fresh from Ruger. I have noticed as of late that parts from Ruger are changing, it sure seems the castings are way cleaner.

FWIW, I didn't do a thing to the rod other than take it from the bag, inspect, & install.

I aquired 2 and they both looked exactly the same.

The Brownells picture may not be accurate of what is shipping.
