Ordered something for my daughter that was supposed to arrive yesterday. It wasn't in my mailbox yesterday so I checked the tracking. It's in Springfield, Mass which is nowhere near Pittsburgh.

We'll see how long it takes to get here.

The post office has been the poster child for DEI hiring for decades. It finally started paying off in the early 2000's. Mail was found dumped in ditches, hidden in employee houses, dumped in the woods because the DEI hires were too lazy to work. Employees were stealing mail, stealing gift cards, cash from bithday and Christmas cards. Employees that could barely read, or had elementary reading levels were delivering mail and packages.
I believe this is why the post office is in such dire straights financially. Badly mismanaged and staffed with people that have low IQ and low skill sets.
Back in the 1950's and into the 1970's the US Post Office was a well-run organization.
The government should hire based on merit and skill, not ethnicity and gender.

I worked for a few months at a large USPS facility in the early 70's and believe me, my co-workers were all morons... all except for the supervisory staff... they were smart and selected for their brains leaving the dregs to sort, throw and load mail onto trucks.

Affirmative Action was the dei back then, had to hire the token black, or female, just to say they were diverse. These diverse-ionary laws seemed to make it impossible to remove the token-whatever for any cause whatsoever. They were hired for life.
