Ordered 4 boxes of ammo from Ammoseek (Mistake #1). De Loen Pharmacy and Sporting Goods (Mistake #2) was thhe vendor. Showed it in stock (Lie #1). Wasn't and not shipped for over a week. Got a tracking number for UPS. Finally notified it is out for delivery. Nothing. Second day: still marked "out for delivery". Nothing arrives by bedtime. Next morning: Nothing on the porch or near the garage. Looked at the delivery photo: WRONG HOUSE = No idea who or where.

Go on-line to file a claim. Have to have an account. Tried several user names= all in use. Passwords = all in use. Finally check my e-mail and I am welcomed back as BearBio (I had previously been told that was (1) wrong username for my e-mail, then (2) already in use. So, I log in with my new password.. OK, I guess. Write up my claim, on-line. Have to add supporting info (Picture of somebody else's porch). Click "Submit". Won't take it because the uploaded picture won't attach. Says I have to call in.

I call in and get an automated response. After fighting with the "voice" at the other end, I get them to understand my tracking number (probably because I was speaking in English and not Sumerian or Aramaic or some other dead language!). Then it tells me a live person cannot assist me with filing a claim; I must use the on-line procedure. BTW: they are checking on my claim and please allow 7-10 days for follow-up. "Thank You for Your Business"

AAARRRGGGHHH!!!!

Been in that situation a while back on a holster , very frustrating . Glad it seems to be getting resolved for you 😉

You know whenever I need ammo I just go to the local gun shop and order it if they do have it in stock. Let them go through all the BS if there is any. I may pay more but the aggravations I've had over getting ammo from any of the online vendors just isn't worth the savings, they all turn out to be the same pain in the azz.

Don't you find it amazing, with all the humans being brought into our world, you can't find one to actually TALK to when you need assistance from a big gum't or corporation..?
I was actually told on a CHAT with Verizon that they could not connect me with a human; nor could (read: would) they get a human to call me back on my home or cell phone. I kept typing that I just could NOT BELIEVE that they would not go thru the trouble to assist their customer (me) and they kept typing back their apologies that I was having such a difficult/frustrating time..... BUT THEY STILL WOULDN'T HELP ME FIND A HUMAN TO TALK TO. When I finally gave up and called the Verizon support line and got to a human that way, they were able to actually read all my chat conversations and they offered THEIR apologies. Then they answered my question and gave me a rather complex protocol (for an old man) to follow. When I called back the next day and spoke to a different human, he told me that the protocol that I was given was INCORRECT and I would not be able to avail myself of a Veteran's discount because I was on an archaic (flip-phone). basic plan. I didn't tell him that I never tried that protocol (my intent in calling back was to see if I would have gotten the same answer.... which, of course, I did NOT). Since everything occurred exactly as I expected it would, I just smiled and had another cup of coffee and let it all go.

Usually, the only one I buy is Underwood. No problems and it gets here within the week. But, in this case they were out! the local Sportsman's only had 2 boxes and they were pricey!

I was going to bet (and would have been wrong) that just about the time you get paid for the claim the ammo would show up.

I have to admit it (my criminality ) but years ago wife and I got sick and could not take an extended vacation that included two airline tickets round trip to the west coast first class.... I got most of what I paid back as credit from Delta but then filed a claim with the travel insurance company we had paid extra for, this was several hundred dollars Delta charged for the cancellation... I think it was around $700. I spent several months on line every week or so with the insurance on line processing and re-answering and resubmitting Information ..... one day I'm tossing our junk mail and there is one of those small computer generated envelopes that you have to tear the edges off to get inside.... the return address looks kind of familiar and so I open it... it is a check from that travel insurance company for the full price of the two first class airline tickets... I know I should have contacted them and started the process of fixing it and getting the amount we were actually owed.... but I was sure it was going to be at least twice as hard as just submitting the first claim... I hope karma wise I've paid for that one by now....

Fedex is far worse. I have three houses. It takes several days of ‘out for delivery’ before the items finally show up and 9 times out of 10 they will tell me on the first attempt that i have to drive to the fedex facility which is 80 miles away to pick it up. Theyve been to all tree houses before, they know where they are. They say the houses are too far away, yet i see fedex drive by on the access road evert single day.

I just bought 10 boxes of CCI 115G FMJ 9MM, from Cabela's. It was @14.90 a box of 50 with free shipping, 4 days later FedEx dropped it off on my porch.

I was very happy.

J2 we have to many PTFs (Partially Trained Flunkies) working in all kinds of originations being managed by D- people..

Fedex is far worse.

I recently bought a fairly expensive gun which of course has to go to a FFL I called the FFL to be sure he would be in that day, and he said he would. It was "out for delivery" but then their tracking system indicated no one was available to take delivery, a signature was required, another attempt would be made the next day, etc. So I waited until the next day. Same thing. Not ten minutes after I got a second "attempted delivery" notice I called the FFL who said he's been there all day and FedEx didn't show up. In fact he was there the previous day also and FedEx didn't show up then either. FedEx's messages say they will make one more attempt and if no one is available it goes back to the shipper.

Of course I tried to contact FedEx to ask if the package was somehow mislabeled, if there is anything I can do to help, etc. As far as I could tell there are no human beings at FedEx. Their chat thing just gives me more useless canned responses.

This FFL gets guns delivered every day, FedEx / USPS / UPS all show up routinely. I asked what I could do, and he told me nothing because you can't call anyone at FedEx. So I called the shipper what's going to happen if they get the gun returned to them, and of course they said they'll ship it back out if that's what I want, or refund my money, etc. Well, I wanted the gun so I told them if they get it back, try again. And again, and again, as often as necessary.

Anyway the next day FedEx showed up with the box. There was nothing wrong with the address. It was perfect and pristine.

What irks me is their canned response "we attempted delivery" which was an obvious lie. Perhaps it's the only option for the truck driver to choose but don't lie to me. It doesn't help.

Sorry about your problems with UPS. I have had very few problems with them over the last 20 yrs.
I am curious why you say Ammo Seek was a mistake. I have made several purchases through them and never had a problem.

I've tried to log in several times: Told me there wasn't any such user. Tried to create an account: Told me my name. e-mail and password were already used. Tried to get new password: No such account. Tried using my e-mail to get my user name: No such e-mail. Tried to create an account: Name already in use. Tried to create account: E-mail already used. Went through the above steps a couple of times in various order=NADA!. (Maternal side is Irish. We don't give up! Just ask the British!)

Gave up!

There's your problem right there:
"Theyve been to all tree houses before, they know where they are. "

Sorry=couldn't resist! remember "if we all didn't laugh, we'd all go insane"...Jimmy Buffett.

I have replied to the fedex emails with good results.

It’s the UPS/USPS collaboration that gets me most often. UPS is great, but when the package is sent the "collaboration’ way, then USPS delivers it after UPS brings it to them. We have a USPS mailbox cluster 50 yds from the house. Do they ever go the extra yard (or 50) when the package is too big for the cluster? Noooooooooo!!! I get a slip saying I have to pick up at the post office, so the first free morning I have, I drive past the UPS depot, into town, disarm, and go into the PO to get my package. Have to say, the folks in the PO are real good though.
Once or twice, UPS decided to just deliver to my house instead of bringing to the PO (it’s closer). Wish they’d do that every time.

I read this thread on past Monday, right after I had placed an online order for 1000rnds 9mm.

Face palm moment and despair followed as to what I would go through. Its been a long time since I've ordered ammo online and really try to avoid its but wanted Fiocchi and 0.20/rnd I thought was a good price.

At least this time happy to report it showed up today via Fedex but I had to leave work at lunch to be home. Luckily I can do work from home on occasion.

BearBiologist glad your neighbor brought your order over!

I just received a large package from Phoenix that was shipped on the 17th in the afternoon and today being the 19th...glad I don't have an issue with UPS. On another note I already have enough stuff so I don't get much stuff shipped.

Ordering online has many advantages, find things could never get locally, or stuff didn't think was available anymore. But when things go wrong, man do they ever go wrong.between getting the right user name and password, let alone a human to help resolve the problem.
What I hate when things go wrong, is the image in my head of the happy couple smiling as if it's all so simple at the touch of the finger. Arrrgghh!

My wife and I order a great deal of ammunition and bullets. IIRC there was once an option of five dollars flat rate for 70 pounds or anything that would fit into a certain sized box. Boxes of lead bullets get really heavy. One day I was out in the yard when UPS drove up. I met the young man halfway to the house and said, with a smile, "you probably hate us". He was very nice and stated, "not at all, I understand, I am a shooter too". My experience with UPS and FedEx has been consistently good.
