With a "wheel of the axle"? I don't understand that. Is that something like making a good horse turn the way you want by shifting your weight in the saddle? We used to have a horse that all you needed was a lead rope on him to ride him.

I liked like to see the member who derides those of us who drive trucks on a daily basis pull my horse trailer with both animals with his family sedan.

Exactly. I used my truck as a daily driver. Almost 200 miles a day round trip. I needed a truck for hunting, hauling atvs, and for working on my property. It got me to work MON-FRI and got a work out SAT and SUN. I did eventually get a car to commute with. That car is useless to me aside from MON-FRI. Once I retire here shortly I will have no use for a car and will rely strictly on my pick up for daily use.

I just read a report that their sales have dropped VERY STEEPLY since last year at this time; I'm guessing the fad has worn off already and all the "keep up with the Jones'" are enjoying their trophies. Our town is full of these ugly beasts; we have a Tesla dealership here; it's fun to cruise by and observe the strange clientele.

They had over 1,000,000 pre orders, they’ve sold just under 39,000, in Q2 of 2025 they only sold about 4000…Tesla has to end production of these pretty soon to stop the bleeding but I think too many executives at Tesla still believe the media hype and the Tesla fans online. It’ll be interesting to see how this shakes out as BEVs have to compete on a level playing field with other cars in the very near future.

I also have a full-size pickup with no professional necessity for it. I'm just a home-owner who does all of his own maintenance and repairs. I've entertained a couple of times going to a smaller pickup, even tried to order a Ford Maverick when they came out, but have been very glad more than once that I've stuck to full-size. Recently tore down the deck on the back of my house and built a new one, it would have taken at least twice as many trips with a smaller truck, and couldn't have done it at all (by myself) with a car.
I travel a lot for work, so have seen quite a few cyber trucks. Recently in Tennessee I saw one pulling a decent-size camper at a truck stop, so i asked the owner how the camper affected his range. All he said was "Range? What range?". I'm guessing he wasn't thrilled.

I live in a smaller town in Central Arizona. Some might describe it as a cowboy town. I knew the end was nigh, when about a dozen Tesla chargers were installed near the center of town a few years ago. There are usually several Tesla sedans charging there. Teslas are all over the place. And if I am out and about, I will likely see one, or two or three Tesla Cyber Trucks. At first they were all that bare metal looking finish. Now I'm seeing a variety of colors, and some with graphics. To me, they do resemble a metal swing top trash can.

If anyone remembers the old Superman comics there was an alternative, opposite or other dimensional Superman named Bizarro. When the cybertruck first hit the street at first sight I immediately thought that if Bizarro had a vehicle it would be a Cybertruck.
